Brigade’s Front Radar sensor are specifically designed to meet the 2024 DVS requirements and GSR’s R159 regulation. DVS Front Radar and R159 Front Radar are advanced dual-radar collision prediction systems with a 180° detection angle to the front of the vehicle. The driver is alerted via the front assist radar, through visual and audible signals if a vulnerable road user is detected in close proximity.

The new legislation requires a front radar sensory system that detects pedestrians or cyclists in the blind spot area in front of the vehicle. The sensor system must also be reactive and not provide false alarms.Regulation 159 requires a Moving Off Information System (MOIS) to detect and inform the driver of the presence of pedestrians and cyclists in close-proximity to the front of the vehicle and, if necessary, warn the driver of a potential collision. The information system should minimise false alarms. We have a two-tiered alert system: Level 1, which uses color-coded lights to indicate the presence of objects or individuals in various detection zones while the vehicle is stationary, and Level 2, which escalates to flashing lights and an acoustic alarm when the vehicle begins to move and a vulnerable road user is detected.
